This the home my father lived in, Merlin Jones. It's the Jones Dairy or Hartford City Dairy owned by my grandparents, R. Paul Jones & Lucille. I lived in the home just north of this picture.
This was my grandparents home as well. It was all torn down by May, 1980. Got a phone call from Grandma Cille then saying she just heard the HC fire department's detonations. Apparently, they used it for practice fire fighting. The home was built around the time of the Civil War. The dairy was sold in 1960. Now a few fragments of the old silver maples stand next to the stores built on the land after the farm went down.
