My name is Mike Dixon and I grew up in this house. My grandparents Sam & Belle Dixon purchased this farm in 1932 when they moved from North Carolina.

Mike, thanks for commenting. We purchased this home from Belle Dixon in 1984 and lived there 24 years. We loved this home and it has a great history. We restored the facade to match the 1874 Carroll County Atlas drawing, researched the history, and restored the interior to as close to original as possible. My hope is that the better we could leave this home and property, the more likely it will survive and be cherished for future generations. The home is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
