This farm just NE of Adams Mill in Carroll County was called the Loman Farm. The home was made with Indiana Limestone and was built around 1870, Ida Mae and Mabel Loman were born here in the 1880's. Ida Mae Loman married Arthur Kingery after they completed Indiana State Teachers College and resided in Cutler. The farm was then split between the two sisters. Mabel stayed at the family home and ran the farm and married at the age of 53 to Tillman Snipes who managed the field & cattle operations on the farm. Both parts of farm bought by Ayres.
I worked a little bit for Tillman Snipes shortly after graduating from High School in 1964!
