This is a picture of Benny Hoggatt's service station in Staunton, IN. The building on the far right was Cunningham's grocery and meat market. I believe the woman to the lower left is my Mom, my brother, and I walking home from Cunningham's. I was 11 and he was 5. Benny was great when you had a flat tire on your bike as he would patch for a quarter and send you on your way. He retired and converted this old gas station to his house. You can still drive by and wave to him and his wife when they're sitting on the porch.

Eric actually that was shortly after we had moved to the house by the school. I'll show this to dad he'll love it.

I remember the coffee machine it had hot chocolate too.I have tons of great memories there.the whole Hoggatt family made Staunton a better place to live.

Best time was the Indianapolis 500 on the radio at Benny's seemed like the whole town showed up.

I was always told he had the coldest pop in town.

Such an awesome picture! I've known Benny all my life and used to live across the street

The House part was originally a restaurant that was owned and operated by Ms. Easter. We lived in the house until I was in 5th grade. The Garage was open and we lived where the restaurant was.

THE BEST GREATEST PART OF MY LIFE WAS TIME GROWING UP AT UNCLE BENNY AND AUNT CAROLYNS' ALONG WITH BENNY JO, VERONICA, TONY AND DEE...MEMORIES I DO SOO CHERISH AN HOLD IN MY HEART..NO ONE CAN TAKE THAT AWAY..
