I am fairly certain this is my great aunt Evelyn Niehaus' farm near Holland, Ind. I've never seen it from this angle but it's in the approximate location, too, as indicated on the map. Her farm was at 9641 S Holland Rd SW, but it has since been bulldozed and cleared for farming. There is no trace of the house. The home was August and Sophia (Kahle) Niehaus, and possibly, before them, Johann H and Anna Maria (Luebbert) Niehaus. There are actually two houses here, the smaller one on the other side of the white house, was occupied forever by Opal and Aaron Niehaus. The property was empty when Opal and Evelyn moved to the senior citizen apartments in Holland, circa 1985.
