This farm was originally owned by my ancestor, Henry Suhling, and was inherited by his daughter Clara Suhling Brakmeier and her husband Phillip Jacob Brakmeier. It then passed on to their son, Clifford Brakmeier. The Morton shed with the sliding door was built for his D-9 Caterpillar bulldozer. After his passing, the farm was split into sections and sold.
The farm was also where Henry Ford offered Clifford Brakmeier a job when he was approximately 16 years old because he figured out why the Fordson tractors were overheating. He declined the offer.
