I currently live in this house. It was my husband's grandparents home and they lived in it for over 40 years. We purchased it in 2000 when his grandpa passed away. There are only 2 trees still standing around the house, the others having fallen down in storms or cut down due to rot. The barn is still standing along with a small concrete building behind the house. There is no longer a garden, or the other outbuildings, but for the most part, everything looks relatively the same, with a bigger yard to the east. Next summer, however, we are building a pole barn (still keeping old barn.) and moving the driveway to cut through where the old garden was.

Wow Kelly thanks for the wonderful history about this photo. What type of farm is this? Is it still actively farmed today?

There used to be a dairy back in the 40's and then pigs back in the 70's, 80's and early 90's. We own roughly 5 acres and the rest my father-in-law has. He lives next door and in total there are around 190 acres.. some of it farm ground, but no longer any livestock.
