My father and mother, Ivan L. and Delores J. Sherman, built this home in 1953. It was north of his maternal grandparents’s farmhouse in a former orchard. My dad farmed with his grandfather, William F. Lowe. The Lowe family settled in Hamilton County on this farm in 1835.
