Photo 18-KHA-10

This farm was in my family for well over 100 years. My mother, Betty Jo Williams Baker, was born on this farm in a house that stood on the same foundation on which the house in the photo sits. It burnt down. The summer after I finished fourth grade, my parents built this home and we moved there. There was originally one additional large barn that sat behind, and to the left of the house back by the fence line. That barn burned down about two or three years before this photo was taken. Many fond memories of playing in the pasture, the large creek that ran through the property, two "woods", and of course, playing in the haylofts of the barns.

This property was homestead by John Smith. Passed down to my mother Betty Jo Williams. This house was built in 1964. I was 7 when we moved in. Left at age 19. A great place to grow up, many fond memories. I have the original deed and photos of John Smith and the original house.

I have previously commented.
