The style of the house suggests a built date around 1890. Local records and historic atlases indicate that this was the farm of Lewis M. Leathers (1862-1924) and Ida Smith Leathers (1865-1937) and then their son Cyril Leathers (1899-1978). The home has been covered in modern siding; only the garage and small building behind it still stand. The barns have been demolished.
