I just bought this property. The address is 6746 E Co Rd 800 N Brownsburg, IN 46112. The barn complex is no longer present, as the original 40 acres has been sold and developed. The house was built c. 1860 and was owned by the Jones, Irwin, McDaniel, and most recently, Eaton family throughout the years. The home was in the Eaton family from 1902-2018. The house now sits on a plot that is 4.5 acres.

Additional research has clarified that this home was built in the summer of 1880 by William T. Irwin (1840-1923) and his wife Sarah Sandusky Irwin (1840-1903). After the Irwins, the house was owned shortly by Christopher McDaniel (1861-1915) and his wife Mary Garner McDaniel (1861-1931) from 1899-1902. In 1902, it was purchased by Everson Eaton (1855-1907) and his wife Elsie McCrory Eaton (1867-1941).

After Elsie died, the house passed to her daughter Marjorie Eaton Beck (1906-1994) and her husband Donald Beck (1907-1990). After the Becks it passed to Marjorie's nephew, who I bought the house from in 2018.

We are slowly restoring the home. The 1940s porch seen in this photo has been removed in preparation for the original 1880s porch to be put back on. The inside of the home has gone under massive restoration and renovations since 2018; we are about 40% finished with home overall.

The land seen between the house and the barn drive is undulating; originally, it was a fruit orchard in the late 1800's. Only a small portion of this land remains with the house, but we hope to replant the orchard in the future.
