This house was built by the Harvey Family in the 1800's. All the bricks were made on the farm. Ralph and Charline were the last Harvey's to live here. Mr. Harvey was a Congressman for years. I have the gazing ball that was in front of the house for years. Because of the time this photo was taken, the Harveys were home from Washington at this time. It was a beautiful farm!
I am a descendent of the Harvey's and stayed there overnight twice with Ralph and Charlene. They planned my parents wedding back in 1948. After Ralph and Charlene died the house sat neglected for about 10 years and then was bought by Nate LaMar and has been fixed up. It sits just north of 36 on the road that becomes 103 south of 36.
I remember the names of your parents from when I was very young. The Harvey place doesn't look quite the same now as in this picture. I spent time there also. It was a beautiful place.
