Jones Farm 1209 E 800S

This farm was purchased on May 17 1827. My grandfather is the 7th generation to farm this land, witch has been passed to my father. My dad still farms with grandpa. I will be the 9th generation to farm the land with my newborn son who is the 10th Jones to farm this 180 acre plot. On May 17 2027 my family will calibrate 200 years of owning and running this farm. Not only is it an honer to hold such a tradition it makes me proud to be able to say my roots run deep in this dirt. A lot has changed in 53 years and I can't wait to have this picture sit beside an up to date picture. I have been told by my grandfather that the original farm house sat where the trees sit to the right of this picture. It sadly burned to the ground in the late 40's early 50's. This farm has grown hemp, corn, wheat, soybeans and alfalfa hay. It has also had many animals from chickens to cows. I hope that at some point I am able to find pictures from further back in the years. However thank you Vintage Aerial for working so hard on finding these pictures for everyone.
