This was the farm where my grandfather, Paul Howenstine was born in 1895. He and my grandmother lived there for about the last 25 years of their lives. It was the “heart” of the family. My brother, cousins, and I spent many wonderful times at the farm. The family that subsequently owned it, painted the red brick house white.

This property is located in Clear Creek Township, Huntington County, Indiana. It is approximately 1 mile south and 1 mile east of Goblesville, near the intersection of the Stults Road and 900 N. My paternal grandfather’s (Paul Howenstine’s) mother was Laura Stults. The Stults Road was named after her father, David Stults.

Correction: The property is located near the intersection of the Stults Road and W 1000 N, not W 900 N.
