My grandparents, Claudie & Bessie Eden bought this farm before 1966. I remember when it was just the front house, (not the dark house that is in the process of being built in this picture). There used to be a smokehouse to the right of the white building (which was used as a garage on one side and an empty shed on the other). The Front house is now buried where it stands and the only building remaining on the property at this time is the large barn in the left of the photo. The property was sold a few years ago and Now I do not know who owns it.

When I was a teenager, I used to help Claude Eden's father, George Eden run his silky pony carts around a track in the field at the right of the picture. I also helped to bail hay on the farm a few times. Some weekends I would squirrel hunt in the woods at the back of the property. I have a lot of good memories on that farm, it's good to think back to those days.

The farm was purchased in 1964 from Hughes , originally 211 acres. I grew up here from 1964 till 1985. I spent many , many hours on a tractor cultivating the arable land. The farm was sold to Scott Patrohay who is married to Garland Antrims daughter. Garlands property butts up against the northwest section of the farm.I managed to parcel off 7.5 acres in the northeast corner and build a house in 2016 , so a piece of it is still under the Eden name.
