Bob and I started our family in this house, a fine old farmstead. Formally owned by the Volraths, the property holds many(some dramatic) memories. We survived a serious tornado in the basement of the home in 1978. The pole barn shown in the photo replaced a 2-story brick barn destroyed by that tornado. The farm bell in the backyard (white post) now stands in our daughter's own backyard at the home where she and her husband raise three daughters.
