Newnam Foundry

What was this place? Is it still there today?
Razed in 2013. The red pin marks the former location.
I lived at 117 E Lisle St, just about 2 blocks from Newnam fdry. Graduated in 1976, started working at Newnam August of 76, worked there for 33yrs. Foundry poured last iron March 2009. Maintenance worked to remove machinery for about 1 yr. Property was sold to a company out of Kentucky ( not sure) buildings were tore down. Property is vacant waiting for someone to buy property. Newnam was a big part of my life, met and worked with alot of good men. Kendallville lost a great asset when Newnam closed.
