Yes, I remember making a quick trip to Sam's with my Dad (or Mom) for a few items (mostly loaf of bread). It was also a social time to visit and catch up on neighborhood news. I would usually get a bottle of Orange pop. A big deal because we did not have pop in our home. We only went grocery shopping once a week.
