This farm has been in our family for almost 50 years now. My folks bought it when they were married to raise their family in so we would grow up in the country. The area has alot of history being known as Rose Hill. Some of the history was handed down to me as a small child by one of our neighbors who many knew as Morris Walther. He always had to tell me how our house used to be an old ice house and a rail road station. Later on in the lands history was two or three young boys outside playing and one ran and hid in the old outhouse out back and one of the boys shot through it (I was told by either an arrow or a shot gun so I'm not sure) and the boy inside was killed. After we grew up and our family was continuing to grow my parents also bought the Vanderpool home across the street to the north. Both my mother and father have passed now and the farm has been kept in the family and will hopefully continue on down the line.
