east rockcreek school

My old elementary school. Destroyed far too soon. It was in great shape and only a little over 50 yrs old. So many good memories there.

I remember that when I was in first grade in 1964, it was a full elementary-high school.

A lot of great memories there!

I went to school there from my 5th grade year to my 9th grade year. Was saddened when I heard it had been torn down. Mr. Lesh always keeped it so nice. Always clean, always repaired. Remember the mice game? LOL

What a great place to make friends that last forever

Many happy memories there, Sad to see it torn down. My Mom worked as a secretary there for several years. Everyone was so friendly, it was a great school.

I went there for all 12 year's was a great school

I’ve only heard stories of the old rockcreek school. My grandma (Betty McAfee) was a cook and my grandpa (Darwin McAfee) drove school bus. I pass the wall where the school stood every day on my way home from work. When I tell people where I live, I tell them, “just west of the old rockcreek school.”

Went here from K to 2nd I lived in Rockford....
