This house was built in 1851 by Silas Burt We bought it in 1972 from the Burt family and completely restored it adding plumbing and wiring an addition as added to the rear replacing the original that was sinking into the ground. Silas Burt built 13 walnut doors for the house that were assembled with wooden pegs. All the studs in the house were mortised and tenoned in to 12"x12" beams no nails were used in the construction of the frame. My wife Julia and I raised our two children here and I sold the house in 2016 after the death of my wife.
