16696 245th St. Home of Brett & Margaret Dix.

Small buildings to the left of the barn were torn down and a large milking barn built in their place around 1988. Original barn was torn down around 2002 but the addition to the barn on it's left side (notice different color roof of barn) was kept and modified so it's a smaller barn/shed. Both silos are gone and shed on the right of the photo was knocked down in the wind storm.

The house has a fire in 1990 but just internal damage. Currently house has an attached garage on the south side and wrap around porch.

The 3 rows of trees in the upper/middle left are apple & cherry trees. I spent much of my time as a youngster climbing those trees and eat apples all day. It was so much fun. After the flood of 93 the apple trees all got blight. The flood water surrounded the house and the trees were about a foot deep in the water. They slowly dies off after that.
