This picture was taken about 10 years after I graduated from Rockwell City High School. The barn at the bottom of the picture was completed in 1952. Our parents planted the rows of evergreen trees and we watered them all summer long. The two round grain bins were always full of corn. The brick house (center right under trees) was completed in 1959-60 and was a great endeavor as my Dad laid the brick (summer after all field work was done and before harvest) and we carried bricks and cement. Also, there was always something to do as the lawn was about 5 acres.
