This farm is located at 1371 Franklin Avenue in West Branch, Iowa and has been owned by my parents since 1979. At the time of purchase in 1979, only the large barn in the NW quadrant of the photo, and the corn crib (top center) were still standing. Concrete slabs and an old foundation were all we had to identify where the previous house and outbuildings were located. Both buildings came down in the early 2000s and replaced with steel utility buildings. A small grain bin (center of photo) is the sole remaining structure. There are a lot more trees now than in 1979. We really love this property and always wondered what the previous farmstead looked like, so this photo was a really awesome find.
