It looks like there's a small garden in the back. Do you remember what they grew back there?
All kinds of things. Radishes, onions, Calirabi (not sure spelling), potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, i think cabbage maybe, not sure about peppers. It's been a long time. They used to can everything every fall along with canned meats. In this picture the place is only a couple years old so the garden might not be as established yet.
