This is the Charles Thorson Farm. He is my grandpa and him, his dad and grandpa all farmed here. They received an award some years back for it being a century farm. I have many great memories spending time here as a child. My grandpa and grandma still live there!

As far as I know this is one of the few farms that has a "basement" barn.

The farm has been in the Thorson family since it was settled in 1854. Very little has changed since this picture was taken. It was a cover photo of "Our Iowa" magazine in the fall of 2017.
