The Buck Creek School was purchased by my father back in September 1978.
The main building was torn down in 2011, but the gym is still there.
It was used as an agricultural building. Corn and soybeans were stored in
gym. Farm tractors and wagons were stored in the garage behind the gym.
My father was a 1945 graduate of Buck Creek. He enjoyed his school.

Love this photo! My dad, Milton Wilson, graduated in 1948. This was my mother's first teaching job upon graduation from the University of Dubuque (Frances Jenness). Mom was only a little older than Dad and they married a few years after he graduated. I am related to almost everyone in the Buck Creek Cemetery.
