My Grandparents owned this Zachmeyer’s. It is still in the family by there youngest Daughter’s youngest Son. The wind mill is gone the large Oak tree on the right side of the house is gone the small barn and trees on the left were destroyed by a Tornado back in the early 80’s The large vegetable gardens are gone. My Grandparents planted a several large Lilac bushes along the road on the lower right (still there) Also a large Spruce tree is in the center of the lawn below where the gardens were. Most of the fences are torn down.

Hi Jamie,
Did you go there often while growing up? Did you have a favorite spot to play at on the property?

Oh absolutely, so if you look at the image with the water mark where the letter V starts down in the bottom of that valley there was a large vine that you could sit on and swing across to the othe side. On the right side of the photo that single tree sits about at the top of the sledding hill. In the winter when there was snow all of the grandkids , Aunts Uncles Grandparents on occasion would spend hours back there sledding down that hill. We were there every Sunday after church.
