Bill and Christina Christensen and their family lived in the big house; Dale and Darlene Anderson and their three daughters, Karron, Jeanie and Daleen, lived in the smaller house west of Ringsted, Iowa. When the Christensen family moved, the Andersons moved into the big house.

We purchased the farm in 1973 from Willard Fewell who lived in Illinois. At the time of the purchase Dale and Darlene Anderson were tenants for Mr. Fewell. Dale and Darlene farmed the land until April of 1974 when their lease was terminated. Donald and I farmed the land until 2010 when Donald passed. Our son and his 2 sons continue to farm the land and I continue to live on the farmstead. We raised our two Children Steve and Kate on this farm.
