My parents owned the field in front of that store. It was planted in soybeans and tobacco at that time. It is now a subdivision.
My grandma (Kathleen Cales) owned this store until 1993 when my parents (Grover and Vicky Adkins) took over and had it until just a couple years ago. I live next door now.
We bought the Griffith Motel which is the building to the far left that you can only see part of.
