This is a part of the former Walker and Nancy Thompson farm. My homeplace. He would NEVER have allowed it to fall into this condition. The old two-story farmhouse was torn down. It was a beautiful farm at one time.

That barn was a part of his farm. His house was on down by the old post office.

Us kids had to help papaw hoe the corn in that field by the barn. Later came shucking the corn n gathering it in. There was a lot of hay cutting, shocking it. Then tending the cane fields n molasses making. It was always busy
