Smith Camp

When i was a child we shopped here at the smith grocery store. i was about 6 yrs old at the time. Now the building is gone and some of the houses are no longer there there was a big stone home across the road just out of sight in the picture but you can see the long side walk headed out to the road with a stone wall surrounding the front lawn, It to is gone a large Marathon fuel center is there now alot has changed sense then.

I used to live in the camp and visited the store often !!

I was raised around the store area. Different ones of my siblings including my mom and dad lived above the store, also my uncle and his family. One of my sister's lived on the side apartment. Along with some more people we started Smith Camp Pentecostal Church on the left side of the store until we built a church out the road behind it. One of my sister's live in the house on the right of the store right now. She had it remodeled. My mom lives in one of the older houses also that was there behind where the store right now. It has been remodeled. My brother lives in a trailer out from my mom. Also as a child we lived in two houses upon the hill on the right from the store. So that store and surrounding area has been a part of life growing up.
