This is the homesite of H. Thomas and Mary Garrett. The home is no longer standing. It is on Bald Knob Road, bald due to the fact that Tom Garrett cleared so many of the trees there. Jerry and Audrey Kirland's home is at the front of the property now. Tom and Mary Garrett had a yours, mine and ours (they were both widows) family with a total of 11 children. They were hard workers and Grandma Garrett made the best biscuits and blackberry jam in the world.
