LEWIS HOUSE .. THEN COUNTRY CLUB .. THEN OLIN INN .. NOW BRANDENBURG INN -- LITTLE BLDG BACK RIGHT OF HOUSE WAS SCHOOL HOUSE FOR LEWIS CHILDREN
I lived there in 1950 and 1951. Olin purchased the house from Mrs. Ashcraft for my Dad and family. Art and Lorene Willie. He was the Manager at the Olin plant during the time it was being built. After the plant was completed another person became plant manager. Dad was promoted and was scheduled to move to Baltimore. He declined and purchased the Meade county hardware store that later was devistated by a tornado. He also built several housing subdivisions.
