Yes Bill and Joan Downs bought this farm from C.H. Ditto in 1966.We raised and milked registered Brown Swiss and planted soybeans, corn and alfalfa.After the milk cows were sold ran beef cows and started a furniture stripping business in the old milk parlor.The machinery shed above and left side of barn burned down 1980 loosing equipment and and a young bird dog in the fire.Held many classes in 4H cattle judging and showmanship in the front yard.They also raised 7 kids there and I was the middle child.The family still owns this.

Incredible. We want to visit again when you come south at some point....and bring friends with us so they can revel at the history and beauty. Memories. Fun memories.

It's my favorite place in Boston. The home is still very grand sitting on that hill.

Mr. And Mrs. Downs were my godparents, and you couldn't find better goodloving people.. I drive by there about once a month to remember.. sometimes you just need a memory.. as a child I fished with my papaw Charlie in the ponds, planted gardens.. I was always afraid of the basement. Lol. I look for a little white house that no longer stands but in memory.. These lands share sweat, blood, tears, honesty, and respect.

Brings back good memories of when we could walk to each other's houses and several of us would meet on that corner because of the different directions our houses were. Mr & Mrs Downs would let us swim and sleigh ride and just chit chat.
