This is the nelson county farm of William louis and Martha Jury Marks. it was sold in the early 80's and subdivided. its off of Highway 49 between Bardstown and Greenbrier. Mr Marks raised beef cattle, had some hogs, chickens and grew tobacco. it was approximately 250 acres on Hutchins lane and was bordered by the beech fork river and the bluegrass parkway. Mr Marks farmed this property from the early 1940's, until it was sold after his death. it was the most beautiful farmland... rolling fields, well maintained buildings, even a sparkling creek running just below the farmhouse.
We lived in that house for about 13 years until we outgrew it with 4 kids....we bought the farm right behind it and built. We still own the old house and rent it. Love living on this land
