This home and surrounding land has been owned and lived in by Elmer Causey and his family. It was previously owned by a member of the Fields Family prior to being purchased by Elmer Causey.
This residence was also the site of a horrific murder involving two Fields' family members. One member of the Fields family murdered another member of his own family and chopped the body of his dead relative to pieces in a bath tub within the house.

This is not all true. I spoke with a detective of this crime and he said no one was chopped. Only hit with the handle and back side of the hatchet.

The incident actually happened at the home of Judy and malon fields and was later occupied by Rufus and Betty fields and it happened outside. However, it’s made for a good story for many years lol.😊

Mahlon Fields was my grandfather’s uncle. I’ve just recently heard a story about my grandfather going to visit his uncle who had been killed. Can someone give me more information about this? My grandfather is no longer living and other relatives do not know the complete story. Thanks you.
