Photo 2-RAN-30

This is my beautiful home in Greene. We have lived her for the past 21 years. Prior to us Conrad Bernard lived there for approx. 25 years. Before him the Henthorn family lived there. In fact, the old timers in town still refer to the house as "The Old Henthorn Place"! The large, 3-story barn on the left, unfortunately, fell to ruin and Conrad tore it down in the late 80's. The small building you see across the street in the bottom front of the photograph was moved by Conrad to the back yard where it still stands today, albeit a little crookedly. My 5 children loved growing up in the old place and after most of them moved out we extensively renovated it while trying to keep the old character and integrity of the house. We have loved this home in spite of the challenges of living in a 200+ year old house. The land to the left is now a hill and there is a small wood in the back property that extends to the brook (500' back). I always said that if I won the lottery I would recreate the large barn. It's a great home!!
