Charlie Tidswell farm, Route 4 Livermore

In was born and raised on this farm. Today the circular driveway is no longer there. The large barn is gone. My father had a large "fruitstand" built out front called Charlies Pride. The farm is in great disrepair these days as the current owner does no up-keep on the property. In the driveway is my mothers Pontiac Catalina and my brother Conrads Chevy Impala. Many great memories from back then.

I was a young teenager when this was taken. Many happy memories growing up on this farm with my three brothers. My mother used to do taxes for the town from a small office in the house and we hand delivered them when I was small! My parents were both hard workers, did many things for the town that was appreciated over the years as both had town reports dedicated to them before they passed away. We could walk to Brettuns pond which was a half mile away. All of the beautiful elm trees in the front yard died because of the Dutch Elm disease that went through the area. They made for lots of cool shade on a hot summers day. I can see the pigpen way up back in this photo and the corn being harvested for cows in the field. I loved riding my bike in that old circular driveway.
