Melvin Morrison's house Rt 2 Dyer Brook
Used to be the Drew farm
Lived next door
This was my grandparent's farm,Alston & Gertrude Morrison. I think they bought it in 1948. The barn burned around 1976. After that, he used the barn cellar as a pigpen, sometimes 100 pigs lived in it. Melvin is their son.
lot of memories here too! I fished that brook every day the water wasn,t frozen...sometimes wading snow.
Spent half of my childhood running round this place with Chip, and working in the potato field for Alston....good times...
Lots of good memories in these old farms .
