I believe that part of this house( the Part with the porch) was moved across the Oakfield Smyrna Road and was home To Bill and Peg Crandall it was later rebuilt into a ranch style home and is now home To Bills Grandson Josh and his wife Nicole Crandall this is about where the southbound Entrance to 95 is today ( I hope I am right )

This farm belonged to my grandparents, Charlie and Ruby Shields in Oakfield. I know that it was destroyed in the development of I95. Bill and Peg Crandall already had a home across the road and that had to be moved a little but if they took over the front part of this house I am not aware of it.

This was my Grandparents house also and I do not believe the porch was removed. Our house was just down over the knowl from theirs and our house was moved along with Paul Shields house which is the house Scott Boutlier lives in now.

I barely remember these houses... I was only 5 when the I-95 was built... We lived 3 houses down from Charlie and Ruby... Roy and Louise Brisley, Mae Brisley Rusty and Jean Fowler. My brother and I delivered their Bangor Daily news to the neighborhood!

I wonder if part of this House was the one Pete and Linda White Moved down on the back street by Helen and Olin Collier ? I could not remember specifically what Ross Crandall had told me I believe Ruby Shields is correct they only had to Move Bill and Pegs House slightly ? the front half of the above house sure does look a lot like Bills old house did though

Gampie shields house was torn down never moved . Mom and dad's house was moved fr up by the Pentecostal church them moved across the field to where it is now . The house Pete and Linda had was Floyd and Ethel's house

Ross is spot on with his comments.
