Mars Hill Maine I grew up the the big White House . main street in Mars Hill post office is the second building.
The white house cut off by the top of the picture was my childhood home. Was once 21 Nutter Street. I think even the street name has changed since we lived there into the early 2000s and it was brown in our day.
Also the former Math teacher Lester Bartley lived over there in that area 04758 . Then worked for Prudential Ins then Bank in Presque Isle .
The Gulf station was operated by Sylvanus Pierce in the late 40's. Later Larry Smith had it. Larry Fletcher worked there for him until he opened A & M auto repair on Fort Street. Now Warren Cushman owns it. The building in the foreground was owned by Dr. Somerville, now Terry Brewer lives there.
