I think this is Friends Church in Maple Grove. It was the final stopping point in the underground railroad before runaway slaves were led into Canada. Just the church is left today I think.
Yes it is Friends Church.My Mom and Dad were married here in the late 40's. My great aunt and uncle,Robert and Ina Plummer lived in the big house just north of the church. My great grandparents, Judson and Elizabeth lived across the road . Their lawn is in this picture.Great ,Great grandfather is rumored to have taken slaves from the church b y wagon during the night ,travled by field roads over to the border of Canada.
