I believe this was the old Phil Higgins home on the Mapleton Road. They had 2 children, Susan & Mackin.

My 3rd great grandfather Isaiah D. Smith bought 90 acres of land from the State of Maine and built this house in the around 1869. He moved up from Charlotte Maine. House is the last one on the right going up Emerson Hill before the Pelkey Road which would be on the left.

Isaiah and his second wife Cordelia Higgins (Ray Higgins Aunt) sold this farm in 1882 to Stephen H. Park for $1,350.
