Phair Junction

This is my childhood homestead 1949-67. My dad had a general store downstairs and my parents and 5 kids lived upstairs. I’ve gone back over the years only to find the manicured lawns gone and the house in disrepair. The barn collapsed sometime between 2004-2006. Now the train tracks have turn to snowmobile trails and the houses to camps.

Also my childhood home from 1948 when my parents purchased Adrians Cash Market until I went off to the Army in 1966.My mom sold the house for like $12000 after Dad died in 1990 .The purchaser lived in it for a short time and then abandoned it .The city of Presque Isle then I burned it down so time in the late 80s The field in the back we called the Y and my brothers and I had a baseball diamond there and then a miniature golf course with two holes about 100 yards apart .That field now sports trees that are fifty feet high and the field is unrecognizable It was a great place to grow up and I sometimes drive there to reminisce

My childhood home as well 1948-1961.
It was a great place to be a kid and explore all kinds of places.
Fishing at the Creek, picking rasberries or green apples.
I worked on near by farms and potato houses.
Good sledding off the Junction hill in the winter time and building snow forts.
I remember Zeke our school bus driver.
Lot's of great memories were made there.
