BERYL & AL HENDERSON LIVED HERE WHEN I WAS A KID- 50'S & 60'S

The barn was torn down in the late 60s when Lyle and Lottie Bean lived here. Ben Grant lived up stairs in the L. He was in his early 90s as I recall. House burned around 2007? Now owned by Brandon and Rachael Marquis

Mrs. Frazier Shaw lived in this house which was across the West Ridge Road from the home of my parents,Guy & Helen Todd, and I used to deliver a quart of milk every day to her. She ran a boarding house for salesmen. Later her daughter-in-law Mabel and son Earl lived in an upstairs apartment, and then after mrs. Shaw died, Mabel and Earl moved downstairs. We would all congregate in the summer evenings on the front porch and talk about the past and the present. This house on the West Ridge Road faced east and so in the evening, there was no west sun to contend with. One learned the history of Easton, of the depression, of World War II in these discussions. The Shaws lived here during the 1930's through the 1940's. Then Beryl & Al Henderson owned it from the mid 1950's until it was sold to Lyle & Lottie Bean.
