Old Todd Farm
This house was built in 1905 by William Henry Dilling and his wife Esma (Towle). The barn was much older in that there had been a small house with it in the beginning. When Henry built this house, he moved the original house to the opposite side of the road where it was occupied by Gert Dodge Dickey for a long time. This farm was bought by Guy and Helen Dane Todd in 1934 and they resided there until Guy died in 1977. Helen moved across the street to the Manor at that time. The trees lining the north driveway were poplars, and a giant elm tree marked the south driveway. One butternut tree framed the house on the north side, and a locust tree high-lighted the circular drive in front of the house. Behind the house there were plantings of cranberry bushes and black berries, plus an apple tree.
