This is the Melvin Richardson homestead, then Shirley Richardson Cleaves, now Robert E Cleaves homestead. A lot of changes have taken place since this picture!
I lived in this house for 16 years, growing up! Grand old home!
Lived here until I was 4, moved back at 32 and am still here. The front of the house closest to the road was built in 1917, as well as the barn. The machine shed (upper left) was moved from up the road as well as the earlier part of the house, also in 1917. The barn, potato house, hen house and shop all were burned in the 70's. Many fond memories playing with the Peers brothers in the barn, swinging on ropes from hay pile to hay pile.
