Easton Center on Rte. 1A

The store was owned by Herbert McBride and later owned by Dick Barker. The building to the left in the background used to be the Orange Lodge and the building in the far background used to be owned by Carl Towel where he sold and maintained farm equipment.

Behind Dick Barkers store in the garge was Easton oil company that was run by Paul Mullen. And my father Ed deliverd oil for him for 8 years till he sold out to M. P.G.in 1976 and he worded for them for 25plus years till he retired in 2000.

My father also worked for the oil company, He probably worked there around 1960.

Carl Towel operated the garage and the oil business in the 1950s. He also sold Massey Harris Equipment.

The 1st floor of the "Orange Lodge" building identified by Carl Clark was a "one room elementary school" until 1949. I went there for the 1st & 2nd grades. Grades 1-8 were in 1 room with 1 teacher.
