Cecil Bird Farm , Built by Ray and Mattie Haines

Ray and Mattie (Conant) Haines had 3 daughters; Virginia, Harriet, and Eloise. Eloise (the youngest.) married Cecil Bird (from Mars Hill). and they farmed here from buildings and land located directly across from one another on Forest Avenue. Cecil and Eloise raised 3 sons; Ray, Ted, and Bernard (Bunny). Bunny eventually bought the Lee Haines farm one mile further down Forest Avenue (See next photo 25). However, Cecil’s place here is the home farm for what Became ‘Bird Farms’.
